Computers

How to Get a Library Card
- All residents and property owners of Milford, ages 5 and up, may get a library card free of charge.
- Those who work in Milford may have a card at no charge.
- Non-residents who would like to join the library may buy a non-resident card for $40.00 per year.
- Students of Milford schools (who are not residents of Milford) may get a card at no charge for the school year (Sept. 1 - June 30). Please bring in proof of enrollment.
Please bring proof of residency or employment when you come to get your library card. Acceptable identification includes a driver's license with current Milford address, a utility bill with your Milford address, or a paycheck stub from a Milford employer.

Renewals
How to Renew an Item You Have Checked Out
- Go to the Online Library Catalog.
- Click on My Account tab at the top of the screen.
- Enter your library card barcode number (14 digits, no spaces) and PIN and click on Login. NOTE: If you do not remember your PIN or do not yet have one, you need to stop by the Circulation Desk in the library.
- The Account Overview screen will display an overview of Items Out, Requests, Fines & Fees and Saved Searches.
- Click on Items Out.
- If you wish to renew specific items (but not all), check the box to the left of the specific title(s) that you want to renew. Now click the Renew Selected Items button located below the list of items checked out.
- If you wish to renew all items, click the Renew All Items button located below the list of items checked out.
- Due Date will change accordingly. A renewal will be denied if the item has already been renewed twice, if it is on Hold for another patron, or if there are fines/fees in excess of $5.00.
Notes: Videos (DVDs and VHS) and Interlibrary Loan items (materials borrowed for you from other libraries) have varying numbers of renewals. You can see how many renewals remain for your items in the far right hand column.

- If you prefer, you can renew at the library or call the Circulation Desk at 673-2408. Please have your library card number available when you call.
Requests

- Locate the item you want using the Library Catalog. You may search by author, title, or keyword.
- Once you have selected the item you wish to request, click on the Place Request button.
- Enter your library barcode number (14 digits) and PIN (a PIN can be obtained at the Circulation Desk when you are in the library) and click Log In.
- Now you will be able to confirm the request and change the pick up location, and activation date. Click Submit Request.
- You will be notified by phone or email when the requested item(s) are ready for pick up.

Interlibrary Loan Requests
If you are unable to find an item through our GMILCS consortium catalog, or if you recieve the message "Ask a librarian for assistance" when you try to place a GMILCS request, there are a number of ways to place a request. Please indicate the title, author, and item type (book, audiobook, DVD, CD) when placing your request. (Note: You must be a Wadleigh Memorial Library card holder to make an Interlibrary Loan request.)

- Come into the library and fill out an Interlibrary Loan Request form
- Use the online Interlibrary Loan Request Form
Items that are coming from out of state take longer to process, so please allow at least two months. We make every effort to obtain requested items for you.
Article Requests
Article requests must include a complete citation. Please use the online Article Request Form to submit article requests. You may also call us at 673-2408, email us at refdesk@wadleighlibrary.org, or come into the library and fill out a request form.
